Teak Beehive Escutcheon

A nice quality teak escutcheon with a beehive design and a solid brass backplate. A style which was popular from the Georgian period right through into the 1920's and 1930's. Traditionally most doors had a rim lock or latch on one side, escutcheons were used on the other side to cover the key hole.
