A fantastic quality reproduction Victorian antique nickel escutcheon. This one has an antique finish over the unlacquered nickel. Traditionally most doors had a rim lock or latch on one side, escutcheons were used on the other side to cover the key hole and also act a draught excluder. Manufactured using original victorian patterns.
