A refurbished and lightly refinished unusual left handed late Victorian antique rim lock. Brass plaque on the front 'Hobbs Machine Made', quite an unusual mechanism, the key locks the handle bolt, rather than operating a separate lock bolt. The keeps a later addition and the key we made using a modern blank. Angled spindle so oval handles might look a bit odd.
