Large LH Victorian Mortice Lock

A great quality late Victorian large antique mortice lock by Hobbs of London with a wide handle & key backset. Probably a really early version of the more modern mortice type key (rather than a Georgian style key), at some point its had a simple rim lock type key made for it (we've just antiqued the key a little). The strike plate look like a steel later addition, all refurbished and the brass lightly polished. Described as left handed as it only works on one side of the door (inside on the left).
