A fantastic quality reproduction of a Victorian nickel lady escutcheon. This style was very popular from the early Victorian period right through into the 20th Century. Traditionally most doors had a rim lock or latch on one side, escutcheons were used on the other side to cover the key hole and also act a draught excluder. Manufactured using original Victorian patterns.
