Large example of a late Georgian wrought iron shot bolt from around 1820. Lots of wear and weathering. It's just been lightly refinished, we made a replacement keep for it. Its not sprung, to use it vertically the end needs turning into the slot (as per the main pic).
Condition:
Great original condition, lots of signs of wear and weathering.
