A lovely pair of antique Victorian ebony door knobs with hidden screw holes stamped 'Hills Patent' on the reverse. I believe the patent refers to the spindle and grub screws. The pair have been lightly refinished and waxed. The original spindle was missing so we've adapted a modern 7mm sq spindle to fit, one handle is fixed to the spindle, the other goes over and is screwed to the door.
Sold in pairs.
Condition:
Great original condition, some ring marks to the backs and a bit of light wear.
