Victorian Brass & Ebony Pull Handles
A stunning pair of antique Victorian cast brass pull handles, Circa 1870. Recently reclaimed from a Victorian pub, these are a great quality pair of pulls with solid ebony backplates and decorative fixing bolts. These were actually each side of a single door so the decorative bolts fix through both handles. They could easily work as a conventional pair with large enough headed screws (you can just get a thin screwdriver past the handle) you could even use the ebony backs as matching finger plates. All the brass has been machine polished, the ebony refinished and waxed.
Sold as a pair.
Overall great condition for handles from a busy pub, there is a slight kink in one backplate and various marks and scratches. Some of the fluting on the handles has worn flat as well as some of the decoration on the brass, where possible we have turned it to the back. The ebony has cracked a bit around the holes on the back plates.
