Country House Servants Call Board
A very large Edwardian call box and intercom system recently removed from a country house in Kent. The box is Circa 1915 and was a replacement for the older manual bell system. The frame is a lovely coloured mahogany, the back board and intercom front are pine. Also included is its Bakelite bell but this might be a slightly later addition. We've tested the board and all the flags seem to work but some of the internal wiring seems to be missing, easy enough to replace. We have a short Youtube clip showing flag #1 wired to the bell via a modern bell push, powered by 8 x 1.5v AA batteries. We've not tested the intercom system. Lots of overpainting has been removed and all the woodwork has been lightly refinished.

Overall good condition, one of the flags was missing so has been replaced, it's a pretty close match and we've made a few repairs here and there. The electric bell is mounted on a new piece of wood, coloured to match, it'll soon dull down.
