Decorative Edwardian Lever Handles & Lock
Stunning matching sets of large decorative brass lever door handles and original mortice lock. These were very recently removed from an early 1900's house in Wales so are either late Victorian or early Edwardian. The original sets were one of these handles on the outside of the door and a much plainer version on the inside but we've paired them up. They are a really early examples of high quality English lever door handles, another indication of their quality is that both the levers and the mortice locks (stamped A Smith Birmingham) aren't reversible and they weigh in at an impressive 2.5kg per set.
All the brass has been polished, the keep is new and there is only one key (the keys I have had made so they can be copied at any High St locksmiths). They aren't reversible so only work on one side of the door, the right hand of the inside of the door, check the image of the mortice the curved bolt section goes towards the keep. The spindle length is very limited we've supplied a spindle for a 34mm - 40mm thick door, if you need different, please ask.
