Late Victorian Rim Lock Handles
Purpose made antique oval door handles for rim locks or latches, Circa 1890. By Gibbons of Wolverhampton, the oval knobs have quite a long stem and a flat backed oval handle, there is a collar on the spindle that tightens behind the lock to keep the handle against the lock, the other handle simply slides over the spindle and screws to the outside of the door. Cleaned and machine polished, they'll tarnish pretty quickly if not kept shiny. The hole in the collar is offset giving 2 different sizes and we've supplied an additional washer so they'll fit locks from approx 18mm to 25mm thick.
Sold in pairs.
Good original condition, some marks and surface scratches and a couple have ring marks on the backs.
