Set 6 Early Victorian Servants Bells
A fantastic quality set of 6 fully working graduated servants bells Circa 1850 by James Harcourt & Co. Quite an elaborate design with a cast iron front and arm all in one section and an unusual small integrated return spring. Each fixing plate is stamped with the makers name & Registered 1846' and they were probably originally gilded. Interestingly Harcourt exhibited a range of bells and bell pulls at the 1851 great exhibition, quite possibly this registered design.
They've been set to pull from the left but the spring can be switched to the right.
We've tried to leave them as original as possible, all the iron has been cleaned and lightly refinished and the bells cleaned.
Overall great original working condition, 2 of the brass fronts have a crease on the edge (see pics).
Finish: Original brass & iron
