3 Servants Bells on Board
3 matching simple servants bells on a refinished antique pine board.
We've described them as servants bells but they probably came out of a Hotel or some other type of commercial building. They all have a very similar ring and the springs are removable so they can be pulled from the left or right. They've been stripped of the over painting and lightly polished, they'll tarnish pretty quickly.
The pine board is made from Victorian bench seating, Circa 1880. The pine has lots of surface character, bumps and knots. Its been really carefully hand stripped of the old varnish, refinished and waxed. We've then run a simple moulding around the outside (from the same seating) to cover up any new cut marks. There are countersunk fixing holes behind each of the bells. It has very little weight to it, probably weights a couple of kg's. We've left some old marks on the bottom moulding (see pic).
There's enough room to have them sign written.
Overall great original condition, one of the roses has a tiny bit of damage (see pic).
