4.5in Mortice Locks, Circa 1900

Sold out
We currently have 0 in stock.

Lovely quality reconditioned patented antique mortice door locks by Gibbons, dating from around 1900. These came out of a School and I believe they were manufactured with commercial use in mind, the mechanisms are quite complicated and it makes it very hard for them to wear through constant use. I'm not sure if the patent refers to the ball bolt or the mechanism itself. Ideal for using on wider doors, original keeps, the keys are all modern replacements (same key for all the locks). All polished, cleaned, oiled and a few replacement springs. The keeps are double sided so work on either side of the frame.

Sold singly.

Good original condition, the keeps are quite used and some are missing the central divider. Some have different style wording on the face plates.
