Early 1800s Stop Lock

We currently have 1 in stock.

A solid oak stop lock by Owen & Fendelow with its original cast iron key, probably from a front door. The Company existed from the late part of the 1700s to around 1840, judging by the mechanism it's probably early 1800s but could be earlier. We've made a new stop plate and surround for the key (it was very worn) and very lightly refinished the oak, the keep is a later replacement. Its all had a good wax so it'll dull down.

Overall good original working condition, part of the cast iron brace is missing and its got lots of wear to the front.
