Victorian Cast Iron Rim Lock & Handles
A great example of a late Victorian antique rim lock and it's matching handles. Both the handles and lock are by Colledge & Bridgen, the lock has its RD number on the brass plaque (dating the design to 1884) and the handles are stamped 'PATENT' on the spindle which relates to the way the handle is held onto the spindle. The lock case is cast rather than wrought and feels great quality, its been lightly refinished and waxed, the workings all cleaned, oiled and new springs, the handles machine polished.
Overall great original condition, signs of old finishes (it had many layers of paint), a few very minor dings in the handles.
