Unusual Early 1900s Basin Taps

£175.00

We currently have 1 in stock.

An unusual pair of refurbished brass antique taps with H & C tops, possibly from a scullery, I don't think they are outside taps as they have a standard 1/2'' basin fitting. The copper pipe and 3/4'' screw fitting that have been soldered on are both later additions, they could be cut off, I really like them. All refurbished, polished & tested, they'll tarnish pretty quickly after a bit of use. At some point a steel mounting plate was added, we've given it a bit of a clean. Really short reach on these, double check the measurements.

All our taps are fully compatible with modern plumbing & pressure. The vast majority of pre-1960ish taps have a square locating lug below the base for locating into the square hole on sinks & baths. Some modern sanitary wares don't have these square locating holes, so it's worth double checking the measurements.

Condition:

Really good overall condition, spanner marks here and there. The later spout additions aren't dead straight, see last pic.
